Peggy Olsen became a member of Carmel Art Association in 1986. Numerous solo and  group shows later, interest in her work has increased with each year.

Focusing on landscapes in oil, Olsen sees landscape as a means of expressing new ways of seeing color. It is color she is in love with, and she uses it in ways that are exciting to the eye. Her versatility is seen both in subject matter and in technique. California's hills and trees, fields and vineyards have been favorite subjects. Her paintings on heavyweight watercolor paper have a unique look, and she also loves to paint on linen canvas and on board.
