Having the good fortune to have lived in three of the most beautiful places in California, Francyne attributes her love of painting to rich surroundings and a penchant for painting outdoors.
Her first 25 years were spent in San Francisco where she received her B.A. from San Francisco State University. Moving to the Sacramento River Delta, she began her watercolor studies with Richard Yip and continued with private lessons from Jan Miskulin and Carl Miller, A.W.S. She has also studied with some of the finest watercolorists in the country: Dong Kingman, Rex Brandt, Gerald Brommer, Edward Norton Ward, Judy Betts, Marilyn Simandle, David Millard and many others. Although primarily known as a landscape painter, Frankie also enjoys working in the abstract. Her paintings are in private collections throughout the United States and Europe. She has been a member of the Carmel Art Association since 1996.
