Barbara Johnson, a resident of Carmel for over thirty years, is both a painter and a printmaker. She is a member of the California Society of Printmakers, the Los Angeles Printmaking Society, the Print Club of Albany, N.Y., and the National Association of Women Artists, N.Y.C.
Her formal education includes degrees from Smith College, Massachusetts and the University of Michigan. Further studies were at the University of Miami, Florida; the Institute Allende, Mexico; and the University of Nebraska Printmaking Workshop in Florence, Italy.
