Beth Garcia has said of her sculptures: "You have to add something of yourself to raise an object to a piece of art. You add something spiritual. In all my sculptures, I attempt to express my love for the particular animal I am modeling, and my deep abiding respect for nature and its beauty. Every one of my sculptures can be reduced to love of life and love of the animal."
